DESCRIPTION:This Sunday is Pentecost\, or as the old prayerbook calls it\, 
 WhitSunday. WhitSunday as in "white Sunday" because Pentecost is one of th
 e main days for baptisms and those being baptized wear white. It is Pentec
 ost because on this ancient Israelite feast day is when God sent the Holy 
 Spirit to the Apostles and all those gathered in the upper room and Peter 
 preached the first great sermon of the Church.\n\nIn our 1 Peter Sermon Se
 ries\, Pastor Shane will be preaching 1 Peter 3:1-6.\n\nThe Collect for Pe
 ntecost Sunday.\nGOD\, who as at this time didst teach the hearts of thy f
