We are now in what is called “ordinary time.” Ordinary as in “normal” or “everyday.” Ordinary time focuses on living out our faith in the normal, everyday routine of our lives.
As it is the first Sunday of the month, we will be doing Morning Prayer with Holy Communion.

In our Psalter sermon series, Pastor Shane will be preaching Psalm 56.

To prepare for worship, read the Collect and Scripture lessons.
The Collect for the 1st Sunday after Trinity.
Lord God, the strength of all who put their trust in you, mercifully accept our prayers and, because through the weakness of our human nature we cannot do anything good without you, grant us the help of your grace so that in keeping your commandments we may please you both in will and deed through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Q28: How does the knowledge of God’s creation and providence help us?
A: We can be patient when things go against us, thankful when things go well, and for the future we can have good confidence in our faithful God and Father that nothing in creation will separate us from his love. For all creatures are so completely in God’s hand that without his will they can neither move nor be moved.
