Sunday Worship: The 2nd Sunday after Trinity
We are now in what is called “ordinary time.” Ordinary as in “normal” or “everyday.” Ordinary time focuses on living out our faith in the normal, everyday routine of our lives.
In our Psalter Sermon Series, Pastor Scott will be preaching Psalm 63.
To prepare for worship, read the Collect and Scripture lessons.
The Collect for the 2nd Sunday after Trinity.
Lord God, the unfailing helper and guide of those whom you bring up in your unmovable fear and love, keep us, we pray, under the protection of your good providence and give us a continual reverence and love for your holy name, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Q29: Why is the Son of God called “Jesus,” meaning “savior”?
A: Because he saves us from our sins, and because salvation should not be sought and cannot be found in anyone else.
Q30: Do those who look for their salvation in saints, in themselves, or elsewhere really believe in the only savior Jesus?
A: No. Although they boast of being his, by their actions they deny the only savior, Jesus.
