Suffering for bearing the name of Christ and facing the hostility of this world’s hatred brings worry and anxiety to us. We are tempted to break from the suffering or retaliate in kind. Peter commands us to humble ourselves before God, and with one another. Towards God, we humble ourselves only by casting all our worries, the worries and anxieties that come from persecution because He cares for us. There is no other answer but Jesus.
