Sunday Worship: Trinity Sunday

Trinity Sunday is the climax of the last six months of the Church Year. Beginning with Advent, we have journeyed with Jesus as a community through his birth, life, death, burial, resurrection ascension and the sending of the Holy Spirit! We have reached the fullness of the revelation of God who exists as One Being in Three Persons: the Father, the Son and the Spirit. It will be a glorious day for worship.

One of the things we do every Trinity Sunday is to cite the 3rd Creed of the Christian Faith: The Athanasian Creed. This is the longest creed and goes into the most detail about the Trinity.

ALMIGHTY and everlasting God, who hast given unto us thy servants grace, by the confession of a true faith to acknowledge the glory of the eternal Trinity, and in the power of thy Divine Majesty to worship the Unity; We beseech thee, that thou wouldst keep us steadfast in this faith, and evermore defend us from all adversities, who livest and reignest, one God, world without end.
