Peter wrote his second letter shortly before he was crucified. He parting words for his readers then, and for us today, is to REMEMBER. There are going to be false teachers who will come along and teach about a different Jesus than the one that Peter knew. The most important thing we can do is to keep remembering so that we can live godly lives after Peter died. And to that end, we need to know that the faith we have received is the same as Peter’s and that we have everything we need to live fruitful and effective lives to the glory of Christ.
