The most famous verse in the Bible leads with God’s love. Reformational Anglicanism is rooted in the conviction that the primary divine attribute is love. This is why we are committed to the Bible: to hearing, reading, marking learning, and inwardly digesting God’s Word. The Bible is a PROMISE book: the promise of God to love us. The Bible is a POWER book: the vehicle the the God the Spirit uses to transform us by His love to love Him and others. The Bible is a PERSONS’ book: God is one being in three persons and we are united to Him and each other in love…now and forever. All of this to say that God does hug us in the gospel of Jesus and we hug him back in through faith and hope.
