Having just been told that the gospel is the means that we have been born again to love another, Peter commands us to keep “yearning” for the gospel. This is to say that the gospel is for all of our lives; for all of our salvation. We are invited to keep experiencing the goodness of the Lord. Doing so enables us to love one another, letting go the malice, envy and hypocrisy of our past lives.
