Psalm 103 is a Psalm of praise from the heart of David who has been captivated with God’s love for us: His people. Drawing from Exodus and God’s self-revelation that He is Love: both in his steadfast faithfulness and in his affectionate compassion for us. This is the the fullness of love that all comes together for us in Christ. In some of the most beautiful pictures of love in the whole Bible, David tells us that for those who fear God, that is trust in His provision, God’s steadfast love covers us like the sky and that his fatherly compassion removes our sins as far as the east is from the west! How wonderful to be loved by a God like this. What can we do but praise Him with our lips and in our live?
