Sunday Worship: The 4th Sunday in Advent

While it is Christmas Eve on the secular Calendar, on the Church Calendar we are in the last day of Advent: the 4th Sunday in Advent. Our morning worship will be Advent focused. Pastor Scott will be preaching.

The Collect for the 4th Sunday in Advent.
Lord, come among us, we pray, with your power and help us with your great might so that, although we are hindered by our sins and wickedness from running the race set before us, your bountiful grace and mercy may speedily help and deliver us through the work of your Son our Lord to whom with you and the Holy Spirit be honour and glory now and for ever. Amen.

The Collect for the 1st Sunday in Advent.
Almighty God, give us grace to cast away the works of darkness and to put on the armour of light, now in the time of this mortal life, in which your Son Jesus Christ came to us in great humility so that on the last day, when he will come again in his glorious majesty to judge the living and the dead, we may rise to the life immortal, through him who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
