10/15/23 Romans 9:19-26 God’s Election all for His Own Glory
In these verses, Paul handles the next objection that we as human beings have to God’s election, “if it is all God’s will, then how can He hold me accountable for anything that I do?” Paul immediately answers that this question is rooted in our own pride by asking his own question, “who am I, a created and mortal being to ask my immortal maker, why he made me this way?” Using the example of a potter and his clay, Paul states that God’s election is all about glorifying Himself, as He displays the riches of His mercy along with His power and wrath.
