Psalm 119 is the longest chapter in the Bible and it is a Psalm about the Bible. Every verse (almost) extols the beauty of the Word and how it is meant to be our delight as we obey what the Lord commands. Here is true human flourishing! The main problem is that in our flesh we do not delight in God’ Word and chaff against it. Thankfully Jesus obeyed the Word perfectly and now through faith in Him, He has given us a new heart that desires Him and His commandments, and He had given us His Holy Spirit that empowers us to obey His laws.
