As Paul continues to diagnose the fallen human condition, he moves to explain the plan of God against unrighteousness. When Christ returns, he will judge each man according to their works and those outside of Christ will face the punishment for their breaking of God’s Law. There will be no partiality between Jew and Gentile for all people are accountable to their Creator. However, those who have faith in Christ will be saved and delivered from the wrath according to the promises of the Gospel as Paul explained in the thesis of his letter in Romans 1:16-17.
