Part 2 of Money Matters built off of Paul Smith’s previous sermon, who addressed the questions of how we should give (sacrificially and generously), to whom we should give (pastors and the poor), and why we should give (because God has given us everything in Christ). From Jesus’ words in Matthew that where your treasure is, there your heart is also, we see how our approach to money reveals a heart that either loves God and our neighbor or it reveals that we love ourselves. Only by contemplating all that God has done for use will move us to respond with a grateful heart in using money to bless others. In doing so, we grow deeper in our trust, dependence and love of God.
