On Sunday, we entered into one of the most beautiful chapters in all of Scripture, Romans 8. Paul opens the chapter by assuring those who have been justified by faith, there is now absolutely no condemnation. Jesus is the one was judged and condemned at the cross. Being united to Him and His condemnation, we are free from facing condemnation ever again. This is because we are “in Christ.” Being IN CHRIST is our primary identity. This is who we are now and grasping hold of this, and living out of this truth, is the most important thing we can do to live life in the Spirit.
