Psalm 53 is almost word for word identical to Psalm 14. David wrote them and modified one verse for a slightly different emphasis. The Apostle Paul also directly quoted the first several verses of Psalms 14/53 to make his point in Romans 3 that we are all born with original sin. That means every human being has been affected from the Fall of Adam. And original sin also affects every part of our being including the will. Which is Paul’s point, using David’s words that there is none righteous and no one seeks God, except one: Jesus Christ. He is the fulfillment of David’s prayer in the last verse that salvation would come out of Zion (Jerusalem). God heard this prayer!
