As we enter into Psalm 34, we see a picture of David’s praise to God for deliverance. David knows that God alone is the source of deliverance and so he rejoices in the salvation that God has given to him. He then invites those who hear the Psalm to rejoice in God as well for He is to be our chief desire. God is great, and He is faithful to all our needs and concerns. He hears us when we cry and He answers because Christ has made us His people. He has secured deliverance for us so that we may confidently rejoice in God and trust in His promises.
