One of the essential truths about the church is that we are united in the one God: the Father, the Son and the Spirit. God calls us to live out this unity with one another in the church. The sometimes disappointing reality, is that we do not live out this unity well. What do we do? The first thing is to recognize that we are indeed united. The second thing is to live with gentleness, patience and love with each other in the church (which primarily means our local church). When these virtues are lived, then the church looks closer to what it is, we are blessed and God is glorified.
